The Flying Heritage Museum has a grand opening Friday in a former hangar after moving from a small warehouse near the Arlington Airport.
Allen not only collected U.S., UK, Nazi, Soviet and Japanese warplanes from the 1935-1945 era but paid to have them restored to flyable condition.
The museum has four mechanics to keep the planes in the air.
